A quick history on SSD

SSD was announced long time ago in 1978 by StorageTek and since then the popularity of SSD as a media storage hasn’t improve so much. This is due to the expensive production cost of SSD.

If we compare SSD with a conventional Hard Drive, SSD is way behind HDD in term of popularity. Conventional Hard Drive is much cheaper and they are now available in much bigger capacity than SSD. In the last three months, every day 780 new dangerous malwares which try to steal important financial information are detected. This number equals to 1.1%$ of the total malware detected by Kaspersky antivirus. Data collected by Kaspersky Security Network also shows that trojan banker is detected in 2,000 computer every day. Today all the dangerous software detected are contained in the Kaspersky Lab database.

For example, on last January, Kaspersky Lab’s experts found a trojan called Trojan-Banker.MSIL.MultiPhising.gen. According to Kaspersky investigation, this trojan is designed to steal details data from customer of several reputable banks such as: Santander, HSBC Bank UK, Metro Bank, Bank of Scotland, Lloyds, TSB and Barclays.
