Apple Mac mini MB463LL/A Desktop

Apple evolution continues. After the success from the previous fantastic idea of providing mini and energy efficient desktop, Apple releases their newest baby the Apple Mac mini MB463LL/A Desktop. The new Mac mini is definitely stronger, faster, more energy efficient, quitter, and also smaller than the previous baby.

It is horsed by the faster 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, which also offers an ultra-fast 1066 MHz front-side bus (FSB) and a large 3 MB L2 cache. The new DDR3 RAM, which faster than the DDR2, is chosen to handle the memory. The 1 GB RAM included can be upgraded to a max of 4 GB, providing more opportunity to push the MAC OS X 10.5 Leopard to a new level. Compaq CQ2009F Desktop PC is one of the desktop which accommodate the new, low energy, Intel Atom 230 as the main processing unit. Although the processor is not powerful, this tiny machine uses 1 GB of RAM which is more than enough for daily activity, such as: Office application, Internet, Music, Video and several games which are not so heavy. The RAM itself is not upgradeable, and even though it can, there wouldn’t be any significant increase since the processor is not as powerful as Core 2 Duo Processor. In my opinion it is wise that Compaq limits the maximum RAM since it will prevent the processor from overused and overheated. Continue reading Compaq CQ2009F Desktop PC Review
