Not only the size that makes it be called ultra portable. It is the hardware inside, the screen resolution and the slim design which are the reason for the nickname. HP Pavilion DV2-1030US uses 4 GB of RAM, much bigger than a netbook. It also has a 320 GB of storage, double than the normally space available on netbook. It also has a bigger screen resolution, 1280 x 800, just like an ordinary laptop. You can surely do much with this notebook.

Although not using a dual core processor, however, the new AMD Athlon Neo Processor works very well to horse this laptop. I think it is faster than the Intel Atom processor.
