Toshiba Satellite T115D-S1120 is the thinnest and lightweight laptop from Toshiba. As one of the newest laptop in 2010, the laptop offers a new size, 11.6-Inch. The new size is a little bit bigger than the average netbook providing more space for the full size keyboard and full size touchpad, which is highly important in comforting your finger, and yet still offers ultra portability due to its small size and light weight. Unfortunately, as other laptop of the same size, DVD is still not included, not enough space to accommodate the optical drive.

Performance

The Toshiba T115D-S1120 is horsed by the new single core 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 Processor and 2GB of DDR2 Memory, max of 4GB. Yes, this model does use a single core processor (Neo MV-40 is a single core), if you would like to get the dual core (Neo X2-1125) try its brother, Toshiba Satellite T115D-S1125 for only fifty dollars more.

With windows 7 installed as the operating system, the laptop can boot up or wake up in a glimpse of seconds. Feel the majestic combination of speed and power from this laptop. The spacious 250 GB of Hard Drive proves that this Netbook is small but huge. Small in physical  but huge in capacity.

Display and Connection

As the name suggest, the T115D-S1120 uses an 11.6-Inch sized display. The screen uses the new LED backlight technology to save more energy yet deliver beautiful picture with a well balanced brightness and a wide viewing angle. The widescreen display also supports full HD mode with a max resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, good for watching movies. An Integrated ATI Radeon 3200 graphics with up to 1919 MB of dynamically shared memory is the brain to produce the brilliant picture.

For external connection, the notebook provides an HDMI output to let you connect to an HDTV for full 1080P high-definition video and sound. There is also a standard analog VGA video output for connection to older device. There are three USB ports with one Sleep and Charge port, allowing you to charge your mobile phone or other devices even when the notebook is asleep or off. For internet, a Fast Ethernet port is available and also WiFi connection supporting the b/g standard.
