HP Pavilion DV6-1230US 15.6-Inch Entertainment Laptop is horsed by the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6500 and supported by 4 GB DDR2 RAM (2 Dimm) (8 GB Maximum). T6500 although is not the fastest processor out there, is more than enough to horse this HP laptop. The installed 4 GB of RAM can be fully optimized since it is combined with a 64-bit Operating System. The unit is pre-install with Windows Vista 64-bit SP1.

For the storage, this DV6 laptop uses 320GB (5400 rpm) of hard drive. Plenty of space even to store files for years to come. Even if there is a faster 7200 rpm out there, the difference is almost zero on home usage. And the fact that this unit is mobile device, 5400 rpm is a right choice since it offers more stable operation and cooler temperature.

Another advantage of this Pavilion series laptop is that HP decided to use a 12-cell battery to power the unit, while many other are still using 6-cell battery.
